Training
We offer a full range of food safety training the majority of which is bespoke in-house training and Crossland Associates is a registered examiner with Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), Royal Institute of Public Health (RIPH) and Royal Society for the Promotion of Health (RSPH) examining centres.
Please note that the titles of the food safety courses offered by these examining bodies have changed in accordance with the recommendations of the Skills Sector Council and the Qualifications an Curriculum Authority QCA
Level 2 Award in Food Safety (previously called Basic Food Hygiene)
This is essential to businesses to demonstrate compliance with current legislation Designed for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
Intermediate Certificate in Hazard Analysis
This qualification will enable owners, managers and supervisors to meet the requirements of current legislation by putting in place a workable system of hazard analysis
Level 3 Award in Food Safety
A set of new and completely revised qualifications to replace the Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety. Changes in legislation effective from January 2006 have placed greater onus and accountability on anyone in the food business with supervisory responsibility. It is therefore vital they are equipped with both the knowledge and confidence to do their job effectively.
HACCP
All food businesses need to use some or all of the principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points). This training programme is designed to enable owners, managers and supervisors to apply the HACCP principles of food safety to their businesses. HACCP is most appropriate for manufacturing processes and large-scale food operations but is also useful for other food businesses that may be able to apply its principles, such as caterers in smaller businesses like pubs, hotels and restaurants.
Level 4 Award in Food Safety
From food business owners to trainers, from production managers to hygiene auditors, these sector specific qualifications meet industry's need for a high level practical qualification with external accreditation to guide, manage, promote and provide training in food safety. Replaces the Advanced level.

Professional Trainers Certificate is the benchmark qualification for anyone wanting to train in food safety or health and safety or those looking to refine their training techniques.
